Flow Rate and Bladder Scan

1. Please empty your bladder 2 hours prior to your appointment with the nurse.

2. Drink two large glasses of water quickly after this. Then try to hold on and not go to the toilet till your appointment.

When arriving to your appointment, the Urological Nurse will ask you to pass urine into a special device that measures the urine volume over time, (you will be left in privacy to do this), followed by a bladder scan ultrasound to check the volume of urine retained in your bladder.
